Rules & Regulations
House Rules
1. The Clubhouse will be open Tuesday through Sunday and closed Monday. When a holiday falls on Monday, the Club will be open on that holiday and closed the following Tuesday.
2. Reservations for the restaurant and events are requested at 304.295.8551 for all scheduled special dinners, buffets, and parties. If not cancelled within 72 hours, members will be charged for the event.
3. Private Parties: Arrangements for Private Parties will be made with the Banquet or Events
Manager. Events must be sponsored by a member when non-members are present.
4. No one under the age of 18 will be permitted in the Bar without being accompanied by an adult, as per the State ABC laws.
5. Bar Dress Code: Casual attire appropriate at all times, no bathing suits or cover ups.
6. Members may bring an invited guest 2 x per month and no more than 7 x per year to the restaurant.
The Entire Clubhouse is Non-Smoking
No smoking or vaping in pool area
Smoking only permitted in designated areas

Per the bylaws, members and their guests are expected to behave in a manner that is not injurious to the order, peace, interests or welfare of the Club. Should it be deemed that a member's or his/her guest’s conduct violates that expectation, the General Manager has full discretion to temporarily suspend a member pending review by the Board of Governors. The General Manager will bring any member issues needing discussion or investigation to an ad hoc Member Conflict Resolution Committee for review pending the process outlined in the club bylaws (Article VII, Sec. 9).
Golf Rules
Tee Time Policy
Tee times will be made on our website/app or by calling the golf shop starting at 11am each day. Tee times can be made 7 days in advance and only made by members (guests cannot schedule tee times). Even if calling ahead or scheduling online, members must still check in at the golf shop before teeing off. Please check any cart rules and give guest names, phone numbers and email addresses. No more than 3 tee times shall be scheduled at once.
Due to the Club being closed on Mondays, be sure to pick up your golf clubs, shoes and locker necessities on Sunday, if leaving town or using golf equipment prior to the Club reopening on Tuesday.
Practice Range Hours
Monday range is closed
Tuesday 8am to sundown
Wednesday 8 am to 2 hours before sundown
Thursday 9am to sundown
Friday 8:00 a.m.—Sundown
Saturday 7:30 a.m.—Sundown
Sunday 7:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.
Parkersburg Country Club Does Not Allow Traditional Steel Spikes, Soft Spikes Only
Starting Times
Cancellation of starting time should be made as early as possible but at least one hour before the scheduled tee time. On weekends and holidays, failure to cancel a tee time in a timely manner will result in the members being charged an amount equal to the full golf cart fee.
Tournament Rules
1. All ties will be settled using hole-by-hole score from 18 back.
2. Prize money will be awarded in merchandise redeemable at retail price in the Golf Shop.
All credit expires on October 31st
Carts
1. Carts shall be kept on asphalt paths unless the 90 Degree rule is in effect.
2. Carts shall be kept at least 30 feet from all Tees and Greens.
3. Habitual violation of cart rules will result in the loss of cart privileges.
4. Two riders only in carts at all times.
5. You are responsible for any damage that you or your guest do to any golf carts.
6. You must be 16 years old and have a valid drivers license to drive the golf carts.
7. The golf professional and ranger will enforce all playing and cart rules, and has the right to revoke cart privileges.
Guest Policy
Active Golf members can bring guests to play as part of your membership. Guests can golf 2 times per month but no more than 7 times per year.
Men’s and Women’s Golf Association
A fee will be charged annually. The fee will be used to subsidize both association's golf and social events. Any person using the Club’s handicap service must be a member of the appropriate associations.
Pace of Play
1. With no one in front, average 13 minutes per hole. Always keep pace with the group in front. Twosomes and onesomes must not expect to go through when the course is full. Courtesy, common sense and regard for your fellow members go a long way to enjoyment for all of us.
2. Pace of Play for 18 holes shall not exceed 4 hours and 15 minutes.
a) Players violating this will receive a turtle letter issued by the Board of Governors.
b) Any Golfer receiving three letters in the same golf season will lose their prime time golfing
privileges.
c) a group will be asked to move forward if they are out of position
Members or guest may pay cash or charge merchandise, lessons, etc. All charges will appear as a lump sum on their monthly statement.
Golf Dress Codes
Men
Male golfer’s 14 years and older, must wear shirts with collars, sleeves, no tank tops or T-Shirts. Shorts must be mid-thigh and of the Bermuda type. Dark jeans are permissible, but no tears and holes. Members are responsible for the dress of your guests.
Women
Lady golfers’ skirts or shorts must be mid-thigh. Dark blue jeans are permissible, but no tears or holes. No halter-tops, tank tops or T-shirts are allowed. Shirts must have either sleeves or a collar.

Pool Guest

The guest fee is $7.00 per person per day and all guests must be signed in with the pool staff.

Tennis
TENNIS COURT RULES
All members need to sign-in to the court logbook before playing. There will be a $7 guest fee for invited non-members using tennis facility.
- As a courtesy to other players and for the safety of our members the court area is to be occupied by players only. Non-playing children and adults should be outside of the playing area.
- Tennis shoes and appropriate tennis attire must be worn. Shirts are required at all times (No denim, swimsuits, spike shoes, etc.).
- All children age 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please keep the club facilities clean. Trash is to be disposed of in waste receptacles. Glass containers are not permitted on the courts. Care is to be taken with beverages on the courts and to be kept clear of playing areas.
- Courts are for the expressed purpose of playing or practicing tennis. Other use of the courts must be requested and approved in advance.
- No skates, skateboards, bikes or toys are permitted on the tennis courts.
MAINTENANCE
The Clay courts will open at 8 a.m. after the morning care routine and will close at 8:30 p.m.
TENNIS COURT ETIQUETTE
- Players should not interrupt play or distract players on the other court for any reason including the following:
- Retrieving balls during play of a game
- Loud or continued talking or playing of music.
- Entering or exiting the courts by walking across or behind other players
- Never walk across the courts while a lesson or play is active. Wait to walk across or behind the court as a courtesy when play is not active.
- Court time is limited to 90 minutes unless no one is waiting.
- Proper court manners will be always observed. Abusive language or conduct will not be tolerated.
Any circumstances not covered by these rules will be resolved by the General Manager and/or Tennis Committee. Any feedback, complaints and/or requests should be made in writing to the General Manager and/or Tennis Committee.
