Pull and Push Cart Rules
With over 40% of our 20,000 annual golf rounds comprised of walking rounds, we would like to remind everyone of the rules for walkers and those golfers using push and pull carts. Just like we see with regular golf cart traffic, repeated push cart traffic over the same areas can have a devastating effect on our turf quality. Please read and follow the following rules regarding carrying your bag and using a push cart.
Push / Pull Cart Rules
These manual carts should NEVER be taken across the tops of tees and should be kept AT LEAST 30 feet from the edge of any putting surface. Carts should also NEVER be taken between a bunker and the green complex.

Carts should be left to the sides of the green complex not pushed directly up to and around the collars.
YES!
Carry Bags
Carry bags SHOULD NOT be placed on top of tee’s, greens and collars.
MEMBERS ARE ASKED TO REMIND EACH OTHER WHEN THEY SEE A VIOLATION WITHIN THEIR GROUP. YOU ARE OUR BEST DEFENSE.

Golf Cart Rules
Parkersburg Country Club would like your help in protecting and caring for our most valuable asset, our golf course. A lot of care, time and money is spent trying to ensure the best conditions possible, but we also need full cooperation from our golfers. Cart traffic on our cool season turf creates stress, especially during the hot summer months, which can lead to poor turf quality and playing conditions. Our cart rules are put into place to protect the turf, with a special focus on our green complexes. Please take a moment to read the following cart rules and help us give you the best possible course conditions. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

90 Degree Cart Rule Explained
This rule is a little different at Parkersburg Country Club. Our 90 degree rule means that you will use a 90 degree angle to get to the first ball in play, you may then stay on the hole with your cart until you get to the "Return to Path Post" for that hole. From that point forward, you will need to remain on the cart path. Return to Path Posts are explained further below.
Return to Path Post’s
These posts signal the point where carts must return to the path. They are positioned near the approach of each Par 4 and Par 5 to serve as a reminder. Carts should be on the cart path beyond these markers.
Par 3 Holes and Hole #7
Carts should remain on the cart path on all Par 3 holes as well as around all tee boxes.
Handicap Flag Procedure
For our members who need special consideration because of physical issues, Handicap Flags are available. Please check in with the golf shop to receive a flag as well as the rules and guidelines that go along with utilizing them.
