2021 GOLF SCHEDULE

 
THURSDAY NIGHT THROWDOWN
Spring / Summer Season – April 1st – June 17th
Summer / Fall Season – June 24th – September 23rd
Each segment will be limited to the first 30 Two-Man Teams to sign up.  Each week will pair you up against a different team as you try and earn as many points as you can throughout the session.  $50 entry per player for each session includes a dinner on the last night of each session.  Shotgun Start every Thursday at 5:30.  If you do not want to commit to being on a team but would be interested in playing as a substitute, please let the golf shop staff know so we can get you on the call list.  Sign-ups will open on February 15th for the Spring / Summer Session and June 4th  for the Summer / Fall Session
 

SATURDAY, MARCH 13TH

ST. PATRICKS DAY TOURNAMENT
Sign up in the golf shop by Friday, March 12th. Pick your own foursome.  Two man best ball net only.  Shotgun start at 9:00.  Beer and hors d’oeuvres after golf in the bar.  $10.00 entry for golf and $10.00 for refreshments.  $250.00 added by the MGA.

OPENING DAY – 9:00 SHOTGUN START

Sign up in the golf shop by 12:00 on Friday, March 19th   Format and Schedule will be updated and announced based on COVID protocols.  $10.00 entry fee goes to the PCC Youth Sports Organization. Foursomes will be paired by golf shop. Awards will be presented for our 2020 champions before the shotgun start.

Last day to sign up for the Two Man Match Play Tournament.  Pick your own partner. Matches will be posted Thursday, April 1st.  Entry fee $20.00 per team.  Low handicap for the match will play scratch, with other players receiving the difference.  There will be two weeks allotted to play each match. These dates will be posted.  Any match not played by its deadline will be decided by coin flip. NO EXCEPTIONS. $250.00 added by the MGA.  First match deadline is Thursday April 25th.

39TH ANNUAL SENIOR – JUNIOR TOURNAMENT
Pick your partner and sign up by Thursday, April 22nd at 12:00.  Each team will consist of a Senior (50 & over), and a Junior (49 & under).  Entry fee is $25.00 per player.  Format is 36 hole best ball, 85% handicap.  Times and pairings will be assigned.  Tee times both days will be between 9:00 and 10:30. $300.00 added by the MGA.

Format for each day is Stroke Play( six holes best ball, six holes alternate shot and a six holes scramble.  Pick your own partner.  Cocktail party on Friday evening, May 14th, @ 7:00.  Tee times will be assigned between 8:00 and 10:00.  Sign up by Thursday, May 13th.  Para-mutual betting will be available for this event.  $25.00 entry fee with $300.00 added by the MGA.
NOTE: COVID Restrictions could exclude the Friday night cocktail party, updated event information will be relayed to our players prior to the event in regards to a pre-event party and para-mutual betting.

PCC MEMBER - MEMBER
Sign up by Thursday June 10th in the golf shop. Format is two days of match play consisting of multiple nine-hole matches within your flight. Poolside dinner party on Friday night at 7:00 with para-mutual betting available.  Breakfast provided both mornings prior to the 8:30 shotgun start.  $140.00 entry per player with $500.00 added by the MGA. Entry fee includes Friday’s dinner party (spouses included) and a tee gift.  All flight winners will compete in a playoff to decide overall champions. Optional  $50.00 per team players pool.
Note: COVID restrictions may alter / cancel the social and food events tied to this event.  More information will be made available to our participants as the event approaches.  In addition, the entry fee will be adjusted down if changes are made.

Make your own foursomes and starting time.  Format will be best net and gross of each father – child team.  Sign up on the tee.  Optional skins game. $10.00 entry per player. Lunch is compliments of the MGA.

 ‘THE JULY FOUR’
Each 4 member team will be comprised of members from PCC, and selected at the discretion of each team.  The event will be 36 holes of Stroke Play, consisting of six 6 hole segments, using a mixture of different formats throughout the round.    Entry fee of $75 per player will include golf shop prizes and tee gift.  Play will begin on Saturday and Sunday with tee times assigned from 8:00 – 10:30.  Form your team early as space may be limited.  Please call us in the golf shop if you have any questions about this event. 
Teams MUST be formed and signed up by Wednesday, June 7th.

PCC MEMBER GUEST.
This is a special tournament that has grown to be our most popular event at the club.  The field will be limited to 60 teams.  We will have a lottery draw which will determine the 60 team field. The deadline to enter the lottery for this event will be Wednesday, March 31st, with the lottery drawing held on Thursday, April 1st.   The Tournament Format will be match play with each team playing 5 nine-hole matches within their flight, with flight winners competing in a playoff to determine the overall champion.   If needed, additional information on this event can be obtained from the golf shop.  A more detailed description will be communicated to our membership preceding the March 31st lottery deadline.

SENIORS TOURNAMENT
The tournament is a 36 hole net and gross championship. There will be 3 age divisions:  Senior (50 and over); Super Senior (60 and over); Silver Senior (70 and over).  Entry is $10.00 per division, which includes daily prizes.  $300.00 added from the MGA.  Players will be flighted and paired.  Tee times both days will be between 8:00 and 9:30.  Deadline to sign up is Thursday, August 12th.
 
SATURDAY, AUGUST 21ST  & SUNDAY, AUGUST 22ND
PCC CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
The club championship will be a 36 hole medal play tournament.  The low 16 players and anyone who wishes will play in the championship flight.  All other flights will vary from 8 to 16 players.  Saturday’s pairings are based on handicaps and Sunday’s pairings will be based on Saturday’s scores. $20.00 entry fee includes daily prizes. $750.00 added by the MGA.  Tee times both days will be from 8:00 to 9:45 off of #1 tee.  Championship flight will play from the blue tees, everyone else will play the white tees. Sign up by Thursday, August 26th.
 
**The low four players will qualify to play in the 2021 State Team Championship.
**The low 11 scores will also qualify for the Memorial Cup Matches against Marietta Country Club.

HUSBAND WIFE CHAMPIONSHIP
Both husband and wife must be members of the MGA or WGA and have a current handicap.  Maximum handicap is 36 for men and 40 for women. Format is two player best ball with 85% handicap.  Shotgun Start at 1:00.  Make your own foursome and sign up by Friday September 24th.  Entry fee is $20.00 per couple.  Join us in the bar after golf as the MGA will provide for two complimentary drinks per golfer.

FALL MEMBER – MEMBER
Teams will play multiple matches within their flight, with each match changing formats.  We will play our standard 2 Man Best Ball, 2 Man Scramble, 2 Man Shamble and 2 variations of Alternate Shot. Teams will fight to win their flight and advance to the shootout style playoff.  We will have a pairings party Friday evening to kick off the event with para-mutual betting available.  Shotgun Start each day at 8:30 with breakfast available at 7:00.  More information will be unveiled as we get closer to this event in regards to entry fee and what is included as well as any COVID adjustments.
